Jesus is the ROCK
It's ROCK-tober! Time to reflect on the avalanche of God's love and his ROCK steady goodness! This October, let us focus on Scripture that points us to the ROCK of our salvation. Below, are a few "ROCK" verses to get you started. You may want to provide concordances and Bibles for children to look up more ROCK-tober verses! Challenge them to find one ROCK verse for each day of the month that refers to God being our strength, our stronghold, our sure foundation, etc., and then choose one verse to memorize during the month of October!
"Truly he is my ROCK and my salvation. He is my fortress. I will never be shaken" Psalm 62:2.
". . . be my ROCK of refuge" Psalm 31:2-3.
"Praise be to the ROCK" Psalm 18:46.
"Let us shout joyfully to the ROCK of our Salvation" Psalm 95:1.
"Lead me to the ROCK that is higher than I" Psalm 61:2.
"Neither is there any ROCK like our God" I Samuel 2:2.
"Set my feet on the ROCK" Psalm 40:2.
"But the LORD has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge" Psalm 94:22.
"Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal" Isaiah 26:4.
