1) Summer Sessions

>I am looking for ideas for the summer sessions for children in ages
>3-4,Kindergarten-, 1st - 2nd grades, and 3-5th grades. 

We used the Super Heroes of the Bible for our summer program last year. 
Ages 1st thru 6th.  We had different teachers each week.  We would have
one group go out and do games while the other group did their craft or
snack.  I gave each teacher a copy of their lesson and asked the church to
donate the items for the crafts etc.  The kids really liked coming in and
saying their verses each week and getting jewels for their sceptors.  You
can purchase this book from the SSTN website.  It is well worth the money
and there is plenty to do.  We also have Awana during the winter.  Hope
this helps.

2) Mother's day poem?

Does anyone out there have a good mother’s day poem that has something to
do with gardens or gardening?  We are making a flower pot, so a poem along
that lines would be awesome!

3) Growing In God's Word

I am sorry to have offended you with my request for help. I thought
someone might be able to help me out, since I am too busy actually talking
to and interacting with children. I just don't have time to sit around and
play on my computer. Yes, I can search myself,
but I stupidly assumed others cared enough about kids that they'd do what
they could to help. Now I know why we have always come up with our own
ideas rathter than use someone else's. Thanks for taking the time to
reply, but not to help.

5) Teacher Appreciation

In regard to the request of Deb from Iowa for Sunday
School teacher appreciation gift ideas.
 
Since changing to a Workshop Rotation Sunday School we do an appreciation 
event twice a year. We usually do lunches, and when we were meeting in the
evening, a dessert, after the service. I have a parent volunteer who
oversees these, and at some have had other parents contribute food for the
meal. We try to make these extra special and invite everyone who has
volunteered over the past 6 months along with our Pastors and Elders. In
the past when having a small group teach over a year we gave gift items or
Bible book store gift certificates. The number of volunteers has made this
cost prohibitive (some people teach or guide for only one
rotation others multiple times). I have been giving $5 gift certificates
to Starbucks and they love this. I wasn't sure if they were tired of
getting the same thing, but when I asked several of much teachers told me
this is a treat for them and they love to get them.
I've really learned that it is the thought and acknowledgement behind the
gift that is important and not to get to worked up over it, which I can
tend to do.

7) Plastic Tubes

there are many uses for them. you can  make shakers out of them. fill them
with beans, glue colrful cardstock on each end and decorate. another one
is the kids could put pictures inside and make a hanger with fishing
string to hang them. they are also good to use if you are making bird
feeders. punch holes in the sides and add small dowel rods through the
tube, glue in place. nest find a pot pie pan and wire it to the bottom of
one end. the top end should be one wired only on one side, you could bend
it to make a steeple type roof. fill with bird seed and watch the birds
eat.

8) Clear Plastic Tube

Use surveyors tape (neon colored plastic streamers) taped with colored
duct tape to the ends to make praise wands
