1) Felt Patterns - Bible Stories
Connie - why not collect children's coloring books with Bible Stories and
color them yourself, laminate the front side and use the self-adhesive
felt
found in craft stores - then make up your own stories to tell them. Or,
cut apart old Sunday School take home papers, quarterlies, etc. and laminate
and put felt on the back? Just a suggestion. Or use cheap children's
Bible
Story books (I get mine at Dollar Store) could be used to cut up and use.
Even yarn stick figures could be "drawn" on your flannel board.

2) God's Army VBS
Last year I did God's Army at our VBS/Kids Krusade. I usually have all
the
kids stay in the sanctuary. (It is more like a revival for kids.) I went
to
our local army surplus store and bought some "army" stuff to put on
display and give away as prizes. Also, our local library has a graphic arts
department that loans props. I was able to get some helmets and various
props.
I used lesson ideas that I got from several different websites, including
Sarah's SOS she mentioned. I also used the Sword that you can download
from
SSTN website for $3.00 and make as many copies as you want. We had puppet
skits, offering contests, and a different lesson each night stressing the
Armour of God. I can send you our schedule, etc if you want to e-mail me
directly (Cwkslkhmk@aol.com). Also, on Friday night I have a "carnival"
on
the church parking lot. We have different games set up for the kids to
play, hot dogs & chips. This past year a lady from the church rented a
huge
inflatable slide/playhouse for the kids to play in. (Of course that was a
big hit.) Also, my husband talked with our local Armory and they sent a
couple of soldiers over on Friday night to talk to the kids. They even
drove a Hummer, so of course that was really cool for the boys especially.
Over all, it was a big success.

Amazing Miracles of the Bible
God’s glory and love are revealed through the miracles he performed and
were fully realized when he came to earth in the form of a man to save
mankind. By studying the miracles of the Bible children will gain a better
understanding of God’s love and faithfulness and how he continues to be
loving and faithful in miraculous ways to his people today. Works with
rotation-type programs!

5) Sinner's Prayer?
Could you please let me know what is said in the Sinner's Prayer.
Love and Blessings
Helen
--from SSTN: Hi Helen. I don't
believe there is a set wording. But,
it is structured according to Romans 10: 9-10, 13, and includes the
following parts: Admitting/confessing you're a sinner, asking God to
cleanse you and forgive you, asking God to help you to grow in him.
>>For example:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know and confess that I have sinned against you. Please
forgive my sins. Thank you for dying for me so that I can live with you
for eternity. Help me to follow and obey you all the days of my life.
Amen.

6) Fashion - Talent Show?
Looking for ideas for the youth of our church (AME) to have a special
program (i.e. fashion show, talent show). The ages are 2-18. To many
times we have special programs, banquets geared towards adults, and we
want to do something for our youth to keep them active in the house of the
Lord. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

7) Communion?
Hi,
I am trying to find lessons that teach about communion for my Sunday
school teachers to use with approx 60 kids in grades 2-5. Knowing the
publisher and date as well the title and author would really help as I am
in Canada. We are a Baptist church in case you are wondering.
Thanks so much.
Jan
--from SSTN: Has anyone tried "Welcome to the Lord's Table" by Margaret
Withers? It comes with a teacher's guide and workbooks for the students.
Type the title into the bookstore search box to find it:

8) Is Satan Real
Child Evangelism Fellowship has a wonderful lesson entitled, Is Satan
Real?
in one of their lesson booklets. Have used in for kids in grades 1-6 in
the past - it is excellent. It has pictures and lesson order presentation as
well
as Scripture Memory Verse and take-home paper (photocopy).

9) BibleZone Teacher's Guides
This message is in regards to the person looking for BibleZone
teacher's guides. I would recommend checking a couple of places, one is
Amazon.com they have a lot of Abingdon Press Curriculum Teacher's
Guides, and a lot of older ones. They also have used ones you can
purchase for items they might not carry any longer. My other suggestion
would be to contact Abingdon Press dirrectly via e-mail at:
aadcock@abingdonpress.com They might have a couple laying around
somewhere.
Hope this helps
