The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit descended on Jesus like a dove. (Luke 3:22)

The HOLY SPIRIT is the third person of Yahweh, "Jehovah." He is more than an "active force" hovering over the waters at creation (Genesis 1:2), as some cults would have you believe. The Holy Spirit interacts with His image bearers and creation in very personal ways.

Before ascending into heaven, Jesus said, "It is for your benefit that I go away, because if I don’t go away the Counselor will not come to you" (John 16:7). This is not a counselor in the psychiatric sense; the Holy Spirit is our legal counselor, our advocate, One who makes the right judgment, One who comes alongside of his children; He is our Defender who is ready to give evidence that stands up in court when the enemy comes against us. 

The Holy Spirit is Personal. 
He teaches us and reminds us of what Christ has taught in His word - John 14:26, 
He helps us know what to say, Luke 12:12.
He empowers us to do God's will, Acts 1:8.
He comforts us, Acts 9:31.
He helps us in our weakness, helps us to pray, and intercedes for us in prayer, Romans 8: 26.
He renews us, Titus 3:5.
He feels grief over our sin. Isaiah 63:10; Ephesians 4:30.

The Holy Spirit Raised Jesus From the Dead!
"the spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his spirit that resides in you" Romans 8:11.

Interestingly, the Scriptures tell us that the Father and Son also raised Jesus from the dead!
 
"God resurrected this Jesus, and of this we are all witnesses" Acts 2:32.

"Therefore, in response the Jews said to him: 'What sign can you show us, since you are doing these things?' Jesus replied to them: 'Tear down this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.' The Jews then said: 'This temple was built in 46 years, and will you raise it up in three days?' But he was talking about the temple of his body" John 2:18-21.

How could this be? Is this a contradiction? 
No, this is not a contradiction! We serve a Mighty God who expresses himself through three distinct personalities: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! All three persons actively participated in raising Jesus from the dead, thereby overcoming death once and for all for humanity and creation! Hallelujah!
